Recorded at Rockfield and Olympic studios in September and October 1972, the legendary album followed on the success of the band’s hit single Silver Machine and was their first to feature Lemmy Kilmister on bass and vocals and Simon King on drums.

Featuring such classic tracks as Brainstorm, Space Is Deep, Lord of Light, Down Through the Night and Time We Left This World Today, the album reached the UK Top 20 upon its release in November 1972.
