It’s heavy on the suspense and features the vital \u003cem\u003eHot Property\u003c\/em\u003e, an insistent groove so good that Madlib sampled it to lace the ace \u003cem\u003eLong Awaited \u003c\/em\u003eby Lootpack with Dilated Peoples. \u003cem\u003eSleeping Giant 1\u003c\/em\u003e is a more fleshed out version of the equally-dazzling \u003cem\u003eFatal Error\u003c\/em\u003e, evoking the orchestral magic of David Axelrod. Indeed, it conjures images of Diamond D falling over himself in the early-to-mid 90s to loop its intoxicatingly eerie soundscape. Complete with guitar fills that recall Paris, Texas-era Ry Cooder, you need this record for this piece alone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe horn-and-flute-led \u003cem\u003eTycoon\u003c\/em\u003e is a head-nodder and \u003cem\u003ePower Complex\u003c\/em\u003e has some fantastic percussion. Other highlights include the breezy glide of \u003cem\u003eWhistle Stop Tour\u003c\/em\u003e and its sister groove \u003cem\u003eClean Air\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOver on Side B is the more expansive \"Wind Of Change\", which includes the David Snell and the Alan Hawkshaw contributions. But these ain’t no filler. Snell’s shuffling \u003cem\u003eInternational Flight\u003c\/em\u003e sounds like a smooth Dorothy Ashby track tossed from the heavens. Hawkshaw’s \u003cem\u003eRoad And Rail\u003c\/em\u003e is about as luxurious and strung-out as the great man gets and it might just be the highlight of this whole set. Not to be outdone, if Mansfield’s \u003cem\u003eBalance Of Power\u003c\/em\u003e doesn’t make you feel like king of the world then you must be playing it wrong. Oh, and did we mention \u003cem\u003eWorld In Action\u003c\/em\u003e?!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs with all ten re-issues, the audio for \"Big Business \/ Wind of Change\" comes from the original analogue tapes and has been remastered for vinyl by Be With regular Simon Francis.
