Heading into the studio, the band were set on doing it their way. Robert Forster later wrote that there’d be “no drum machines, no piecemeal recording, no acquiescence to higher authority”, building instead on the crisp, woody sound of "Before Hollywood" with a broader, more exotic palette.

Remastered in 2019 for Volume 2 of Domino’s G Stands For Go-Betweens Anthology, this Beggars Banquet-era release is available individually on vinyl for the first time in over 30 years, and on CD. These records capture the band’s London years, alongside "Tallulah" and the live set Fountains Of Youth.
