"Tears Of Injustice" is a fully acoustic version of "Funeral For Justice", which was released in the spring of 2024 as Mdou Moctar’s second album for Matador.

Given impetus by the Nigerian military junta’s overthrow of the country’s president, Mohamed Bazoum, in the summer of 2023, it was the result of an acoustic jam with all band members in one room in a studio in NYC, loose and improvised.

A fabulous companion to a great modern desert blues and psychedelic rock album.
