Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See LP
RELEASES ON THE 22/8/25
Mazzy Star's "So Tonight That I Might See" is their second studio album, released on October 5, 1993. The album features the classic track Fade Into You.
The album closely follows the style of their previous work, but with equal success. Wasted travels steadily along the twelve-bar road, with nuanced, snarling guitar embellishments. Blue Light exudes a smoky, blue-eyed (if black-hearted) soul vibe.
One standout is the cover of Arthur Lee's Five String Serenade, enhanced by lilting cello and tambourine accompaniment. Roback's electric/lysergic guitar explorations and Sandoval's bluesy, lazily erotic vocals create a deeply evocative atmosphere, making "So Tonight That I Might See" the perfect 2:00am album.
