Howlin' Wolf - Little Red Rooster LP
Originally released in January 1962 and simply titled "Howlin' Wolf" (aka "The Rockin' Chair Album"), this is one of the blues legend's best-loved LPs and widely recognized as one of the all-time cornerstones of Chicago Blues and named the third greatest guitar album of all time by Mojo magazine in 2004.
Now reissued as "Little Red Rooster", the first side features iconic singles like The Red Rooster, (aka Little Red Rooster). However, it is on the second side that Wolf really steps into the light and delivers his dynamic and unique voice like never before, with songs such as Back Door Man and his variation on Willie Dixon's Spoonful, one of the finest blues songs ever recorded.
"One of the pinnacles of early electric blues and an essential album for any quality blues collection." - AllMusic
