Shrouded in robes, masks and anonymity, Swedish cult-rock outfit Ghost present their debut album "Opus Eponymous"—a theatrically satanic blend of heavy rock and dark romanticism. The group’s six nameless members, known only as “ghouls,” use rock music as a vessel to deliver their gospel of darkness, pairing pulsing riffs with lyrics that glorify the profane and sacrilegious.

Signed to UK label Rise Above in 2010, Ghost are on a mission to seduce the listener—particularly disaffected youth—into a world where evil is not only embraced but celebrated, with catchy hooks, unholy themes and a wink of devilish charm.

"Opus Eponymous" is the start of their campaign—a melodic, malevolent debut that wraps doom, hard rock and pop hooks in liturgical robes and inverted crosses.
