Beck returned with a mouth-watering feast of beats and grooves crafted by himself and his old "Odelay" accomplices the Dust Brothers.

Most of "Guero" dips into the scrawny lo-fi hip hop of "Odelay" and even "Mellow Gold". The fat dusty beats meet keening bottleneck scrapes, the rhythms range from a lilting Tropicalia reprise, 60's R'n'B and stoner punk-funk whilst one track features a stubby bassline courtesy of Jack White.
